The Reel Life

17 June 2010

When The Reel Life isn't playing the online slots, we like the scour the Internet for bizarre stories. And this story from Germany takes the cake for the most bizarre of the year.

We'll let the Orange News lead off this story, because we can't do it justice: "A German student created a major traffic jam in Bavaria when he 'mooned' a group of Hell's Angels, hurled a puppy at them and then escaped on a bulldozer."

If that's not the best lede of all-time, then The Reel Life doesn't know what is. After mooning the biker gang and throwing the puppy, the 26-year-old fled to a nearby construction site and stole a bulldozer to attempt to drive to Munich.

The bulldozer, not surprisingly, wasn't nearly fast enough, and caused a three-mile traffic jam. The student then fled to his home, where he was arrested.

"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hell's Angels is currently unclear," said a spokesman for local police.

The puppy is being cared for at a local animal shelter.

It's a Splash of Cash

A lucky player known simply as M.W. discovered his fortunes when he hit a $92,170 jackpot at Casino UK casino.

M.W. hit the major progressive on the Cash Splash slot machine. Cash Splash offers both a classic three-reel variant and a five-reel Video Slots version, with both games being linked to the same prize pot.

Brand manager Connor Reeves said the win was "an incredible triumph for both our player and us at Casino UK, as well as an excellent opportunity to re-affirm our online casino as the place to be for players who are interested in achieving significant cash awards."

Congrats to the two-lettered winner!
