The Reel Life

25 February 2010

If you can't find The Reel Life on the online slots, you can probably find us on Facebook. If someone ever hijacked our account, we don't know how we would respond. A woman in New York turned to the cops when this hijacking occurred.

According to the New York Post, a Queens man took his girlfriend's Facebook account, changed her sexual preference to gay, and demanded cash from the woman for the account's safe return. Paul Franco took this drastic step after his car was towed in front of Jessica Zamora-Anderson's house. Franco demanded that Zamora-Anderson pay him $185 to get the car out of the impound lot. Zamora-Anderson, who was fearful that Franco would make public a sex tape the two made together, agreed to pay him the cash.

The story took another step towards the absurd two days later when Zamora-Anderson realized her Facebook password had been changed. She said that Franco "changed all of my personal information and said I was interested in women. I got a lot of requests for relationships with women -- and he was the one accepting them." She also claims that he spammed her friends and family and changed her personal preferences.

Zamora-Anderson again approached Franco about how to get her account back, and Franco once again demanded money. She instead went to police. Police had him arrested on charges of coercion and harassment.

The Reel Life applauds Zamora-Anderson for contacting authorities and straightening that situation out. This type of Facebook terrorism needs to be nipped in the bud immediately.

The Capital of Jackpots

Jackpot Capital Casino has just launched the all new Golden Lotus slot machine and is featuring it as one of its "Games of the Month" for March, along with Lucky 8s and Jackpot Cleopatra's Gold.

Golden Lotus is a 5-reel, 25-payline slot that is set in an enchanted oriental garden where a treasure is waiting to be uncovered. Players have the chance to win up to 100x their bets on this machine.

Golden Lotus has two jackpots, a "Major Jackpot" that starts at $1000 and a "Minor Jackpot" that starts at $250. Both are triggered at random and increase with every bet until they are won.

Jackpot Capital Casino is running a unique promotion that ties into the Reel Life story from above.

"We'll also be running a contest on Facebook," said Casino Manager Oliver Smith. "We're asking players to post stories about their luckiest moments. Three players will win $100 each."

Online slots and Facebook. The Reel Life will support anything that combines the two.
