The Reel Life

3 December 2009

The Reel Life loves the holidays. We love giving and getting presents. We love Christmas lights and decorations. We love holiday-themed slot games. A man from Atlanta does not share the same spirit.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a 45-year-old man dressed as an elf was arrested after he told a mall Santa that he was carrying dynamite.

William C. Caldwell III waited in line at the Southlake Mall to get his picture with Santa.

Morrow police Capt. James Callaway said that when Caldwell reached the front of the line, "he told Santa Claus that he had dynamite in his bag. He said that two times to Santa Claus."

The mall was evacuated but when the "bomb squad examined three packages left near Santa, the incident was declared a ho-ho-hoax," the AJC wittily noted.

Caldwell is being held without bond and is charged with having hoax devices, making terroristic threats, false imprisonment, simple assault, reckless conduct, disorderly conduct and false public alarm.

Let this be a lesson to all you out there. It might seem like a man loves Christmas. He might even be in a Christmas costume. But be weary of a grown man who wants a picture with Santa.

Get in the fast lane grandma, the Bingo game is ready to roll!

Out of this world

Rob A became a traditional Tycoon this month when he scooped £6,625 playing Tycoon's Treasure at Jackpotjoy.

"I'm on another planet today, I just can't explain how happy I am," he said after his big win.

He had good reason behind his glee though, as the money's just what he needs at the moment.

"It means I can get a little car, basically, which means I can move as well," he said. "I only moved where I now live because of work. This is going to make such a difference!"

Enjoy your jackpot (and new car)!
