The Reel Life

13 August 2009

The Reel Life loves board games, especially Monopoly. We take these games very seriously. And if we're coming off a rough day at the slots, we might get a little agitated if we keep going directly to jail. That being said, we've never been arrested while playing the game. We think you know where this is headed.

According to Click On Detroit, a 54-year-old Michigan man was arrested for assault and battery for allegedly hitting a woman during a game of Monopoly. Kenneth Anthony Repke apparently wanted to buy Park Place and Boardwalk from the woman, who refused to sell.

Repke then allegedly hit the woman in the face, knocking off her glasses. The woman dialed 911 and Repke was taken in custody.

"I thought that was violent for a game that's supposed to be friendly," said neighbor Nicholas Renze. "I guess he (Repke) takes his Monopoly pretty seriously."

The Reel Life would have to agree. It's yet another reason why the online slots rule all: They don't slap back.

Get in the fast lane grandma, the Bingo game is ready to roll!

Twice as nice and hit the rare double last week in the span of two hours on its progressive slot Treasure Nile.

Norwegian Robert M won a $97,419 jackpot on the popular slot. The progressive payout barely had any time to build back up before Maria S from Portugal hit a $56,650 jackpot.

Treasure Nile is a five reel, nine pay-line slot with an ancient Egyptian theme. The progressive jackpot slowly grows with each spin before a lucky player (or two) hits it.

Big payouts aren't new to A Dutch player won over $500,000 back in June playing roulette at the site.
