The Reel Life

5 March 2009

The Reel Life is familiar with the saying, no good deed goes unpunished. It seems really unfair, because a good deed should be rewarded. For example, if you hit a really big jackpot, and you donate your winnings to charity, you should be rewarded with another jackpot the next time you play. But sometimes karma doesn't work your way, and that holds true for a good samaritan in snowy Denver.

According to MSNBC, Jim Moffett, a 58-year-old bus driver, was helping two elderly women across the street during a blizzard. He was struck by a pickup truck while doing the good deed, but not before he was able to push the two women and another man safely out of the way.

"Moffett suffered bleeding in the brain, broken bones, a dislocated shoulder and a possible ruptured spleen" but was in stable condition. And not surprisingly, he got recognized for his heroic efforts. But it wasn't the type of recognition you'd expect: He was issued a jaywalking ticket.

The Colorado State Patrol issued the citation. According to MSNBC, "Trooper Ryan Sullivan said that despite Moffett's intentions, jaywalking contributed to the accident."

The saying proves true once again. And with Moffett suffering all those injuries after a good deed, maybe we'll think twice about that charity donation.

Get in the fast lane grandma, the Bingo game is ready to roll!

No complaints from David W

David W knew exactly what he wanted to win from Jackpot Joy's range of exciting games – it was all about the Deal or No Deal Jackpot.

But the advantage of playing for one of the most wide-ranging gaming sites out there is that you've always got the choice and so when he won £12,017 playing Bingo 100 there were no complaints!

"I was chasing that big DOND jackpot but I'm so happy with this one! I like that Jackpot Joy has so many games to choose from - but I have to say I love the Bingo! I like the tension waiting for your number to come up. I like the thrill of the game!

We like a man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid of chasing it!
