The Reel Life

4 December 2008

The Reel Life is anti-fraud. Fraud, unfortunately, a stark reality in online commerce, and we don't like it. But as we were reminded this week, fraud can also be committed at other establishments. Like fast food joints.

According to WBZ, police in Concord, N.H. are searching for a woman who used three counterfeit $20 bills to pay for a large order at a Taco Bell. They are investigating whether the incident is connected to similar incidents at other local businesses where counterfeit money was used.

Now using counterfeit money is wrong on its own merits and can be a federal offense. But perhaps the most disturbing part of this article is realizing the woman needed $60 to pay for an order at Taco Bell. All the commercials Taco Bell shows on TV talk about how their menu offers items for $0.79, $0.89 and $0.99. How much Taco Bell could one person possibly consume for at least $40.01? And you wonder why America has an obesity problem.

The Reel Life doesn't condone such behavior. Stay truthful, watch what you eat and enjoy your slots. It's a pretty simple way to live, but it works.

Woman wins Boxster from Vegas Partner Lounge

In the week of 9-15 November 2008 online casino player Chantal K. won the Porsche Boxster first prize at the well known Casino Treasure Cruise. Being a relatively new member at Vegas Partner Lounge, Chantal could not believe how the well known casino group could so easily present her with such instantaneous and life altering possibilities. Chantal also won additional prizes during the duration of the cruise where Vegas partner Lounge held their extra prize-giving ceremonies.

"The generosity of Vegas Partner Lounge has given me the chance to win $1250 in the draw that took place on the cruise every evening; I also had the absolute luck to be the first prize winner of the Porsche Boxster, something that I never thought I could win," said Chantal.

Coming from France, Chantal is one Vegas Partner Lounge's many international players and enjoys playing online casino games at her leisure. After playing a slots tournament at Crazy Vegas Casino and subsequently winning it, Chantal was given the opportunity to join Vegas Partner Lounge on the memorable cruise visiting Jamaica, Haiti, Grand Cayman and Mexico.

Austin Green, spokesman for Vegas Partner Lounge was quoted as saying "We're so happy that Chantal won the grand prize. It's always a real thrill when new players hit it big and it just shows that truly anyone can win. The fact that the Cruise was such a huge success and that all of our esteemed and loyal players enjoyed it is further cause for celebration!"
