The Reel Life

10 April 2008

It was a busy week here at the Reel Life. Between jetting across the country to play some land-based slots (we stuck to WMS favorites Monopoly Jackpot Station, The Wizard of Oz and Alpine Adventure) and keeping track of all the people winning big jackpots online, we barely had time to sleep. But we did discover that playing the slots can be a good group activity, especially when there are flying monkeys involved. And on that fun note, let's take a look at the week that was in online slots.

Banker busted

Jackpotjoy's Deal or No Deal banker has been beaten yet again, this time by Rob D who grabbed a £88,805 jackpot.

"It feels good to have won," Rob said. It hasn't really sunk in yet so I haven't made any plans on what to do with the money."

"I imagine my dream holiday would be to go to Las Vegas so we'll see!" Rob added.

Taking advantage of the bonus situation

U.K. slots player "tommyboy" won $39,760 with one pull of the slot machine at Omni Casino when he decided to tryout the $100 slots bonus that the casino gives new depositing players. After depositing $100 into his account, he made one pull and seconds later, he had $39,760 sitting in his account.

The money was won on Omni Casino's "Next Generation Slots", which include: Barnyard Boogie, Congo Bongo, Money Mania, and Easter Dragon.

A Tycoon of Treasure

West Yorkshire's Wendy G won a fantastic £44,206 playing Tycoon's Treasure at Jackpotjoylast week. "I am absolutely beaming," she said after her big win. "It took about ten minutes to sink in!"

I want to buy a new car and take a holiday," Wendy said when asked what she was going to do with the money. "I haven't really had time to think about where. I had to run upstairs and tell my partner and we screamed."
