The Monkees to perform at Hard Rock Tulsa on June 30

29 April 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Monkees are letting the good times roll at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on June 30. The iconic band is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a tour along with the group's first new album in 20 years, titled "Good Times!"

Tickets start at $50 and go on sale May 5.

The Monkees first came onto the music scene in the 1960s as the made-for-TV group who released their debut "Last Train to Clarksville" and went on to sell more than 75 million records worldwide.

The three surviving band members—Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork—are reuniting for the new album, which debuts June 10, and its accompanying tour.

The Monkees completed songs for "Good Times!" that were originally recorded and written for the group during the 60s, including "Love To Love" by Neil Diamond, which features a vintage vocal by the late band member Davy Jones.

During the band's time together, The Monkees recorded a dozen Top 40 hits, including a trio of tunes that soared to No. 1. Between September 1966 and December 1967, "Last Train to Clarksville," "I'm A Believer" and "Daydream Believer" collectively occupied the top position for 12 weeks.
