The Gaming Channel Launches SportsGaming Channel

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the New Media Age: "Avago operator The Gaming Channel has launched its second interactive TV gaming venture, focusing on grassroots sports punters with iSportsTV.

"The new channel features a combination of horseracing, football, super-bikes and specialist Irish sports together with a smattering of content designed to appeal to the lads demographic, including beauty contests.

"iSportsTV, which went live on Sky Digital at EPG slot number 431 this week, will aim to take audiences away from Sky Sports and smaller sports betting channels such as AtTheRaces.

"…A further agreement with the World Series of Racing has secured for iSportsTV live coverage of the Japan Cup this Sunday (30 November), the Hong Kong Cup and all World Series races in 2004, including the Dubai World Cup…"
