The Dan Band performs at Kansas Star Event Center

17 June 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Dan Band will bring their hilariously unfiltered songs to Kansas Star Event Center at the Kansas Star Casino on Saturday, July 9.

The Dan Band rose to fame in 2003 after frontman Dan Finnerty received tremendous praise as the foul-mouthed wedding singer performing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" in the hit comedy film Old School. With their popularity on the rise, The Dan Band continued to make appearances on the Hollywood circuit and were later featured in the films Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover.

The band began as a joke after Finnerty sang "I Am Woman" while intoxicated at a karaoke bar. Since then, The Dan Band has become a cult sensation that has garnered exceptional reviews from The New York Times, The L.A. Times, Rolling Stone, Variety and more.

The group has also made numerous TV appearances, performing on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show, Last Call with Carson Daly and The Tonight Show.

The Dan Band has released three albums, including 2015's "The Wedding Album."

Showtime is 8 p.m. in the Kansas Star Event Center Ballroom, with tickets on sale starting at $22. Purchase tickets at the Kansas Star Event Center website. Must be 21 or older to attend.
