The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas unveils Milk Bar

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is pleased to announce that Milk Bar opened its doors at the Las Vegas resort on Friday, marking award-winning pastry chef and owner Christina Tosi’s first project on the West Coast.

Milk Bar’s playful bakery concept was founded by Tosi in NYC in 2008, following the success of the dessert programs she created for the Momofuku restaurants in 2004. Inspired by familiar homestyle desserts and savory snacks, Tosi’s menu offers an approachable yet innovative spin to classic baked goods using quality ingredients and locally sourced dairy. At The Cosmopolitan, Milk Bar will continue to serve Tosi’s signature creations, which have gained world-wide recognition, including Cereal Milk soft serve ice cream, Compost Cookies and Crack Pie®. The Milk Bar Las Vegas kitchen will bake the bakery’s ‘naked’ layer cakes daily, among other treats, and offer drip coffee and espresso drinks made with the custom Milk Bar Blend.

“We are so pumped to be a part of the evolving restaurant scene here in Las Vegas, and thrilled to call The Cosmopolitan our new home,” said Tosi. “We look forward to sharing our desserts with both guests, visitors, and locals alike and bring our Milk Bar spirit to the Las Vegas Strip!”

Along with menu highlights like Cake Truffles and Birthday Cake, Tosi will also debut exclusive menu items to the Las Vegas market, including MilkQuakes – the blending of housemade soft serve with delicious sweet bites, adding texture and out-of-this-world flavor combinations. MilkQuakes flavors include Strawberry & Corn, Crack Pie, Bkfst, B’day Cake and Sweet Potato Pie. Milk Bar at The Cosmopolitan will also feature four different flavors of soft serve, offering twice what is available at other store locations. Finally, exclusive to The Cosmopolitan location, “Fancy Shakes” will include alcohol and appeal to Las Vegas revelers who want both a sweet treat and a cocktail. Original varieties include the Cereal Milk™ White Russian, the Fancy Fruity Shake and the Fancy Chocolate Malt Cake Shake. Milk Bar Las Vegas will also bake special-order layer cakes (off menu classic flavors like Strawberry-Lemon and Pretzel) from the Las Vegas kitchen with three days’ notice, for anyone looking for a specialty flavor for an upcoming celebration or special occasion.

Milk Bar has a total of 10 locations, including New York City, Toronto, Washington, D.C., and now Las Vegas. Tosi is a two-time James Beard award winner and author of two cookbooks, Momofuku Milk Bar and Milk Bar Life. She is also a judge on the hit culinary competition series MasterChef and MasterChef Junior (on Fox).

Milk Bar is located on the second level of the Eastside Tower and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. to satisfy late-night cravings for resort guests.
