The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to show Absinthe9 August 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Gazillionaire will open his new production of the long-running hit show Absinthe at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. "I was just getting ready to pack up my tent and move to Miami," said Absinthe's producer, The Gazillionaire. "But last night I was offered a deal I couldn't pass up." In collaboration with The Cosmopolitan, Spiegelworld will take over and re-imagine the former ballroom space in Rose. Rabbit. Lie., creating a distinct, all new venue for Absinthe. Rose. Rabbit. Lie. will continue to operate as a modern supper club offering dining and live entertainment. The move serves as the next chapter in the ongoing success story that is Absinthe. Spiegelworld first presented the show in 2006 in a spiegeltent at the South Street Seaport, New York City. Absinthe went on to open in Las Vegas in 2011, where it was voted "Best New Show" and hailed as the most outrageous and original offering on The Strip in years. The show has continued to evolve while entertaining over one million Las Vegas visitors during the past five years and will now arrive re-energized at The Cosmopolitan by the end of 2016. "I knew nothing about this deal until The Gazillionaire told me this morning," remarked Ross Mollison, Spiegelworld impresario extraordinaire. Absinthe will play its final performance at its current location on Friday, Oct. 21, and will commence previews at The Cosmopolitan late 2016. |
