The Brook to host summer residency with The Uptown Boys15 June 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Brook, America's largest charity casino located minutes from the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border, is proud to announce a summer residency with The Uptown Boys, an award-winning musical featuring the hits of Billy Joel. The show, which is simply described as “one night, three guys and all the hits of Billy Joel,” will have a summer residency in The Brook's new upscale venue, Seasons Showroom. The Brook will host eight performances throughout July and August (July 7, 8, 28, 29, and August 11, 12, 25, 26). The Uptown Boys, created by Broadway musical veterans Alex Aguilar (Miss Saigon, Memphis) and John De Simini (Jersey Boys, The Tina Turner Musical), offer an energetic and captivating performance that showcases Joel's iconic songs exactly as audiences remember them. With a fresh approach that diverges from the traditional "man at the piano" tribute formula, the group injects sex appeal and smooth moves into Joel's classic catalog. Having performed in theaters across the U.S., The Uptown Boys are set to deliver an unforgettable experience, featuring 27 of Joel’s smash-hit songs. The show stars New Hampshire native Tony Clements, who has performed in acclaimed shows such as Hairspray, Rock of Ages, and Grease. "The music of Billy Joel is so nostalgic and means a lot to so many people, so I'm really looking forward to bringing this great new show to everyone this summer." said Clements. Located just 40 miles from Boston, The Brook offers easy access for residents of Massachusetts and Maine. The 75-acre property has undergone extensive remodeling over the past four years, including the unveiling of Seasons Showroom. This intimate 300-seat venue provides a comfortable and immersive experience, featuring couches, booths, high-top tables, a dedicated bar area, and multiple VIP sections. The 90,000 square-foot entertainment destination also offers a range of casino table games, a live poker room, the state's only Stadium Gaming area with live dealers and digital screens, New England’s largest sportsbook and seven-days-a-week simulcast racing. As a charity casino, The Brook has proudly distributed over $11 million to local organizations such as Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Annie's Angels, and Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels since being acquired by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort in 2019. |
