The Aviator Casino will not reopen today

1 July 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Aviator Casino will suspend its planned re-opening of gaming operations that had been scheduled for today, 1 July 2020, and will close its dine-in restaurant operations in compliance with the order of California Governor Gavin Newsom issued today affecting restaurants and card rooms in 19 counties. Food and alcohol curbside pickup will still be available from our restaurant as will food delivery through Door Dash.

On 18 March 2020, The Aviator Casino closed its doors in response to the governmental and public health declaration of a state of emergency to limit the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). This initial closure order had been lifted recently, as a part of the re-opening of California business, and the employees and management of The Aviator Casino have been working diligently to return legal gaming to Delano in a clean and safe environment. As of noon today, the order from Governor Newsom will keep the doors shut for at least three more weeks.

The employees, staff, and management wish to thank our loyal customers for their kind words of encouragement as we made preparations to re-open The Aviator Casino. We have certainly missed you. The Aviator Casino will provide updates regarding future developments as we are able.

Remember to stay safe and healthy out there: Please wear your mask in public, maintain social distancing, and wash your hands. We hope to see you soon.

The Aviator Casino is not aware of any current health concerns related to COVID-19 for guests who have visited our Casino. This temporary suspension in our planned re-opening is solely due to the Governor’s Order affecting 19 Counties including Kern County.
