Terrible's Casino Slates Wednesday Opening30 November 2000LAS VEGAS, Nevada-- Nov. 30, 2000 -- As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal: "Terrible's hotel-casino, the new Herbst family property on the site of the old Hotel Continental at Flamingo and Paradise roads, plans to open at 6 p.m. Wednesday. "...The casino hopes to attract a large number of local customers. [Terrible's general manager, Mark] Sterbens said 125,000 cars go by the casino daily, many of them Strip workers returning home from work. "The casino itself will have 750 slot machines. It will also have six blackjack tables, one craps and one roulette table in the pit. "Tourists are expected to make up 20 percent of the casino's customers. `We have 5,000 non-Strip rooms within one mile at non-gaming hotels, and we're in an ideal location on Paradise Road for conventioneers,' he noted." |
