Temporary closure at VictoryLand11 August 2010ALABAMA -- Ongoing strife between Gov. Bob Riley's Task Force on Illegal Gambling and VictoryLand has led the owner to close VictoryLand temporarily, The South Sun reported. The facility, which employs 600 individuals, will reopen its greyhound facilities tomorrow at 5pm, The South Sun report said. The closure comes from the repeated threat to raid Victoryland, after a court ruled an injunction to prevent a raid was invalid, The South Sun report noted. |
