Talking Stick Resort wins pair of awards17 October 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Talking Stick Resort, an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, has been named the recipient of GOLF’s “Top 100 Resorts in North America” and also won in its “Top 25 Resorts for Buddies” category. This is GOLF Magazine and GOLF.com’s first-ever ranking of the Top 100 Resorts judged by industry analysts, GOLF’s travel and editorial experts as well as thousands of golfers via an online poll. “Talking Stick Resort is honored to be recognized in the inaugural top resorts ranking by GOLF Magazine and GOLF.com,” said Ramon Martinez, director of public relations of Talking Stick Resort. “Our resort is known for its array of amenities. These two awards are a testament of our commitment to always exceed guest expectations, and we are incredibly thankful.” Hundreds of resorts across North America were assessed by GOLF Magazine for this first-ever award. Those selected to be a Top 100 Resort, were then put into one of four experience categories: Luxury, Buddies, General Excellence and Families. Talking Stick Resort was placed in the “Top 25 Resorts for Buddies” category. Those selected in the Buddies category have demonstrated player satisfaction, featured multiple golf courses and gave players a place to unwind and have fun after a day spent on the course. The final selection process involved a methodical ranking exercise conducted by more than 3,700 of GOLF’s readers, a judging panel of resort industry specialists, internal travel and editorial teams. Each resort was carefully examined based on five key variables: golf experience, accommodations, service, food and ambience. The judging panel are experts in a variety of sectors including hospitality, food and beverage and golf. Talking Stick Resort has the perfect balance of fun and relaxation and everything in between.
