Taj Mahal site for GMA stunt

13 February 2008

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Trump Taj Mahal will be the site of a live television event on Friday, February 15 when "Good Morning America" news anchor Chris Cuomo performs an assisted free-fall live during "GMA" as part of the morning program's "I Dare You" series.

Cuomo, who has an admitted fear of heights, was dared by his co-anchors, Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts and Sam Champion, to perform an assisted free-fall - LIVE - from the top of Trump Taj Mahal's 51-story hotel tower. Cuomo will perform his dare with the help of a Hollywood stunt coordinator and rigger. Cuomo will be safely strapped into a harness and decender where stunt expert Joni Avery and rigger Mike Weis will help him free-fall nearly 400 feet down the face of the Trump Taj Mahal and land just off the Boardwalk.

"Good Morning America" reaches approximately five million viewers each day and will air this live event during the morning broadcast (7:00 to 9:00am ) on the ABC Television Network.

Area residents and hotel guests are encouraged to come and view the event as it takes place.
