Taiwan's gaming tax to be significantly lower than Macau5 April 2013TAIWAN -- Taiwan has revealed it is considering a 13 percent gaming tax, according to a Macau Business Daily report. This could position Taiwan favourably against Macau's current 40 percent tax and make it competitive beside other Asia destinations such as the Philippines and Singapore, the report said. It is speculated that gaming tax may be a factor in where VIPs or high rollers chose to gamble, the Macau Business Daily report said. |
