Taiwan: Matsu wants casino referendum21 March 2011MATSU ISLANDS, Taiwan -- The Matsu Islands are in the process of introducing a local casino referendum, according to Taiwan Today. The process should be established by November, according to the report. The intention is to initially boost the local economy through the gaming industry, however previously in 2009 voters on Penghu Island rejected gambling through a similar referendum, Taiwan Today reported. |
