Taiwan completes draft gambling bill11 April 2011TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Following last week's report of being close to finishing a draft bill, Taiwan announced Monday it has completed a draft gambling bill, according to the Agence France Presse. The draft bill is aimed at bringing casinos to outlying Islands such as Matsu and Kinmen, the report explained. The bill will be sent to parliament in September, but gambling has historically been a divisive issue in Taiwan, the Agence France Presse noted. |
