Table game foes go to court19 June 2007MORGANTOWN, West Virginia - As reported by the Charleston Daily Mail: "A group that has fought plans to add table games to West Virginia's racetrack casinos said today it will ask a federal court to overturn a state law allowing four local elections on the issue. "The decision by the West Virginia Family Foundation, a conservative Christian activist group, reverses an earlier position. After June 9 elections yielded mixed results in two counties, President Kevin McCoy said he would wait on the outcome of the other elections before pursuing further court action. "But the board of directors decided over the weekend to file a federal lawsuit within three weeks, he said. The foundation won't attempt to stop two upcoming elections..." |
