Sycuan Casino Resort unveils new Padres-themed suites

23 July 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Sycuan Casino Resort today unveiled its new San Diego Padres-themed hotel suite just in time for the 2020 MLB Season.

The new Padres Suite at Sycuan embodies all things baseball and offers stunning pool views, a private wraparound balcony, plush king size bed, relaxing sitting area and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. No detail in the Padres Suite has been overlooked from its limited edition artwork, elaborate design walls, custom furniture, original décor and signed memorabilia.

“Every detail and design in our Padres-themed suite was to create the exciting feeling of being at a baseball game at Petco Park,” said Cody J. Martinez, chairman, Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation. “Sycuan is a longtime supporter of the San Diego Padres and we are proud to partner with them on our new Padres Suite to give baseball fans an immersive and one-of-a-kind experience while staying at our resort.”

As soon as guests enter the suite, they are greeted with a massive feature wall made up of over 40 bats that were repurposed from Sycuan’s original sports bar GameDay. Baseball fans can enjoy complimentary peanuts and Cracker Jacks, while watching all of their favorite games in-style from one of two 50-inch TVs mounted on a turf wall outfitted with its own home plate.

The suite boasts unique décor elements from its lighting to furniture, such as baseball-inspired bedside lamps, a leather catchall tray made of authentic Rawlings gloves, baseball bathmats and an original baseball-inspired chair featuring Rawlings “Heart of the Hide” glove leather and trim.

Colorful artwork and memorabilia embellish the walls including a custom window wrap of Petco Park, an autographed Manny Machado jersey, a Tony Gwynn Louisville Slugger, oil paintings by former Padres player Gene Locklear and a limited edition signed print by licensed MLB artist S. Preston.

“The next best thing to enjoying a Padres’ game in the front row at Petco Park is to stay in the Padres-themed suite at Sycuan Casino Resort, while enjoying all of Sycuan’s first class entertainment and hospitality amenities,” said Erik Greupner, president of business operations, San Diego Padres.

Guests that stay in the Padres Suite for two or more nights will receive a special Padres gift at check-in for signing up for a Padres Club Sycuan Card. The Padres Club Sycuan Card also gives cardholders access to several exclusive offers throughout the year, including opportunities to win autographed Padres memorabilia, special experiences and invitations to private Padres events.

Additionally, beginning on Saturday, 25 July to Sunday, 26 July, Padres fans have the opportunity to earn points and win Padres merchandise and a one-night stay in the new Padres Suite by playing all of their favorite casino games. Players can earn 500 points and receive a brand new 2020 Padres Opening Series Fleece Blanket and an additional 1,000 points to receive an official commemorative Padres Opening Day Hat while supplies last. All participants will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing for the chance to win a one-night stay in the Padres Suite.
