18 March 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation announced today that it is temporarily closing Sycuan Casino Resort to protect the health and safety of its guests and team members. The temporary closure will begin on Friday, 20 March 2020 at noon through at least 31 March 2020.

During this time, all Sycuan Team Members will continue to receive their pay and full benefits package. Guests will receive full refunds for any hotel reservations booked during this time period.

“The health and safety of our guests, team members and tribal community will always be our top priority,” said Cody J. Martinez, Chairman, Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation. “We believe that temporarily closing is the best course of action to do our part in helping slow the spread of the virus. As a community, we will continue to work together to put everyone’s health first. We would like to thank all of our guests and team members for their patience and understanding during this uncertain time.”
