Swingers Club to debut at the Plaza Hotel and Casino14 July 2011LAS VEGAS (PRESS RELEASE) -– Swingers Club, a one-of-its-kind bar concept, is coming to the brand new Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Customers at the Swingers Club will be able to mingle in a laid-back atmosphere that offers the unique entertainment combo of dueling pianos and mini golf, to put a little extra “swing” in the downtown night scene. Conceived by longtime Las Vegas entertainer and entrepreneur Anthony Cools through his new venture Freeflow LLC, the Swingers Club will feature dueling pianos as the musical centerpiece of the bar. Rather than a stage setting, the pianos will be located on the bar floor to encourage audience participation, including sing-alongs, personal requests and the chance for the piano players to mingle with customers during breaks. But unlike any piano bar you’ve ever encountered, this one will feature nine holes of mini golf to offer customers a guaranteed conversation-starter. All nine mini golf holes will be Vegas themed featuring various festive memorabilia and props. The bar will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 a.m. seven nights a week to customers 21 years of age or older. Live music acts will play from 7 to 9 p.m., and the dueling pianos players will follow, entertaining customers from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Late night, a DJ will spin music for glow-in-the-dark disco golf from 2 a.m. until 4 a.m. The live music will be centralized around the pianos to allow other areas of the bar to feature music at lower levels, encouraging conversation. “Swingers Club will be unlike anything else in Las Vegas,” said Cools, managing partner of Freeflow LLC which owns and manages the Swingers Club. “This isn’t an ultra club with high-priced bottle service. Our goal was to create an inviting atmosphere where people can relax and just have fun. They can enjoy the live music of dueling pianos or leading stage acts, socialize with friends over drinks, and maybe meet someone new over a few holes of mini golf. I’m confident that the unique concept of the Swingers Club will complement the fun vibe of downtown and make it a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike.” “The brand new Plaza will offer its guests a fun and comfortable experience,” said Tony Santo, president and CEO of Play LV, which operates the Plaza Hotel and Casino, “and the Swingers Club is the perfect complement to that atmosphere.” Cools expects to debut the venue for the Plaza’s soft opening August 24, with a grand opening planned for Labor Day weekend.
