Survey: Half of Singaporeans Gamble

SINGAPORE – As reported by Channel News Asia: " A survey has shown that more than half of Singaporeans gamble, but only two in 100 are at risk of gambling addiction.

"The survey found that 58% of Singapore residents, aged 18 years and above, had taken part in some forms of gambling at least once in the last year.

"However, only a small minority (2.1%) of them reported symptoms suggesting probable pathological gambling and are at risk of being addicted to gambling.

"…Singapore residents spent a median monthly betting amount of $83 on gambling activities…"
