Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort will reopen on Monday

15 May 2020

The Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort in Washington announced on Thursday that it will begin a "phased" reopening on Monday, 18 May at 10 a.m.

"Our guests & employee safety is our top priority. Upon re-opening on Monday, May 18th, the following safety precautions will be in place to protect the health and wellness of everyone and to curtail the further spread of illness. We are encouraging everyone to stay local and game locally.

The most notable changes you will see are physical distancing protocols throughout our property. As a result of this, the casino has implemented the following:

- The Casino's hours of operation will be 10am-2am until further notice. The Casino will be closed from 2am to 10am for property-wide deep cleaning and sanitization
- Capacity will be limited to 60% to ensure that there is ample space between our guests and employees
- If the Casino has reached its capacity, guests will be asked to return at another time
- Guests will not be allowed to wait in their cars or at the casino doors
- Diamond Tier players & Suquamish Tribal Elders will be allowed to have priority entry into the casino at any time during operation.

Our guests & employee safety is our top priority.

Upon reopening, we have put the following in place for safety and protection of everyone:
- If you have a flu like syndrome with any of a number of symptoms like chills, fever, cough, difficulty breathing and/or muscle aches, you should stay home and only visit us two weeks after these symptoms have resolved themselves
- In order to practice safe social distancing, we will be reducing our capacity to 60% to ensure that there is ample space between our guests and employees
- All guests will be required to have their ID scanned in order to enter the property. Acceptable identification includes identification card or driver's license issued by a domestic or foreign government agency, Military ID, Passport, Tribal ID and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Green Card.
- Temperature Check - At entry, every guest, vendor & employee will have their temperature taken by a thermal camera. Any person displaying a cough, shortness of breath, or other known symptoms of COVID-19 or a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or above will be asked come back when they are healthy
- Acrylic barriers have been added to the Player's Club, cashier stations, hotel front desk and the cage to protect guests and employees
- Any area where guests, vendors or employees line up will be clearly marked for appropriate physical distancing. This includes check-in, check-out, elevator lobbies, Player's Club, the cage and dining areas.
- Employees will be provided masks and required to wear them during their shift
- Guests will be required to wear self-provided masks and are encouraged to bring gloves
- Limited dining options will be available
- Additionally, the casino has been completely cleaned and disinfected and the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces. This includes, but not limited to, front desk check-in counters, bell desks, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, room keys and locks, ATMs, stair handrails, casino cage counters, gaming machines, gaming tables, dining surfaces and seating areas.
