Supporters: Casinos Would Bring Money to Kentucky Schools

KENTUCKY – As reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer: "If Kentuckians were to approve a constitutional amendment allowing casino gambling, Northern Kentucky's three counties could receive $11.3 million more per year in local education funds, a group called Kentucky Equine Education Project has announced.

"That would mean $5.1 million for Kenton, $3.2 million for Boone and $3 million for Campbell, said Jim Navolio, executive director of KEEP.

"That's based on the population of pre-kindergarten through 12th graders in each county, said Navolio, whose group hopes to persuade state lawmakers next year to place an amendment on the ballot that would allow gambling…"
