SugarHouse's Fishtown Hops hosts PSPCA adoption day21 July 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Fishtown Hops is celebrating the dog days of summer – literally – with the PSPCA's Fishtown Center Adoption Day on Sunday, 23 July from 2-5 p.m. Guests are invited to sip on summer brews, enjoy riverfront views and meet their new best friend. Several dogs from the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA) will be onsite, ready for adoption. Applications will be available onsite for attendees interested in giving dogs a forever home. The Fishtown Center is a satellite location and part of the PSPCA, serving animals in need throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. As the city's newest summer hotspot, Fishtown Hops is proud to be pet-friendly, providing animal owners a way to indulge in great food and brews with their furry friends in tow. "You can count on Fishtown Hops to always be one of Philly's pet-friendly spots. That's why we're proud to partner with our neighbor, the PSPCA, to help these adorable dogs find good homes," said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. In addition to meeting some of the dogs up for adoption, guests can enjoy food and drink specials, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the PSPCA. The PSPCA has been the state's leading animal welfare organization for nearly 150 years since its founding.
