Sugarhouse Casino fined $58,000 by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for incorrect slot machine settings6 August 2014PENNSYLVANIA -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today levied a fine $58,000 against SugarHouse HSP Gaming, LP, for allowing a number of slot machines at its Philadelphia casino to operate at paytable settings different from reported to the Board. The fine was the result of a review by the Board’s Gaming Laboratory Operations which uncovered the discrepancy and led to today’s approval by the Board of a consent agreement between its Office of Enforcement Counsel and SugarHouse HSP Gaming. The review uncovered that, during a 148 day period from March to August of 2013, 12 slot machines had paytable settings that contradicted the settings reported to the Gaming Lab Operations. The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in the PGCB’s Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
