Suffolk Downs pitch $600M gambling resort7 July 2010BOSTON, Mass. -- The legislature may be engrossed in negotiations to expand gambling, but Suffolk Downs have already drawn up the plans for a proposed $600 million casino, The Boston-Herald reported. Suffolk Downs owners expressed confidence in finding investors for the resort as it unveiled the plans yesterday, the report said. If the plan were to materialize it would create immediate and longer term jobs, but faces challenges in the meantime, The Boston-Herald report explained. |
