Suffolk Downs deal will return racing27 February 2015BOSTON, Massachusetts -- Thoroughbred racing is coming back to Suffolk Downs thanks to a two year deal struck today, the Boston Globe reported. The deal took six months to achieve and still needs approval by the gambling commission, the report said. The track will be leased to New England Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, a group that represents both trainers and horse owners, according to the Boston Globe report. |
