Study: No Strong Link Between Problem Gambling and ATMs

CANBERRA, Australia – As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "Canberra's licensed clubs have welcomed new research that indicates there is no strong link between problem gambling and ready access to cash.

"The Australian National University study was funded by the ACT's gaming regulators.

"It recommended automatic teller machines (ATMs) should be allowed to stay in poker machine venues…"
