Store sells both Lotto, Little Lotto winning tickets

16 March 2007

DECATUR, Illinois – (PRESS RELEASE) -- For the first time in Illinois Lottery history, the winning Lotto and Little Lotto tickets for the Wednesday, March 14, drawing were sold by the same retail store. The winning Lotto numbers were 02-12-16-27-41-52, with a jackpot of $2.75 million. The winning Little Lotto numbers were 16-20-23-26-30, and the jackpot was $100,000.

The "doubleheader" means Prairie Pantry's owner will pocket a sizeable bonus: 1 percent for both prizes, or $27,500 for Lotto and $1,000 for Little Lotto -- for a total of $28,500. Prairie Pantry is located at 1645 W. Grand Ave. in Decatur, Ill.

"Retailers are the fuel that fires up Lottery sales," said Illinois Lottery Superintendent Carolyn Adams. "Because they are so critical to our success, we are delighted one retailer will reap such a great reward. And, of course, we always look forward to congratulating the winning players."

Players holding the winning tickets must present the original ticket and complete a claim form at any of the Lottery's five check writing centers located in Chicago, Des Plaines, Fairview Heights, Rockford and Springfield, Illinois.
