Steve Wynn Becomes Partner in Luxury Condo Project

20 July 1999

You'd think Steve Wynn, Las Vegas' most important casino mogul, would have a full plate between his casino business and his civic and political activities. But now Wynn, chairman of Mirage Resorts Inc., has become involved in a luxury condominium project.

The Park Towers at Hughes Center announced July 19 that Wynn has joined as "design and development partner'' in the $100 million high-rise development. Park Towers will have two 20-story towers at Flamingo and Paradise roads, not far from the Strip.

"Steve brings to us the same imagination and exquisite devotion to detail that he has imbued in the Bellagio, Mirage and all of his other beautiful resorts,'' managing partner Irwin Molasky said in a statement. Molasky is a veteran developer in Las Vegas.

Wynn, in the same statement, said Park Towers "will serve to make Las Vegas more than a world-class tourist destination by offering those who appreciate the finer things in life a luxurious pied-a-terre like those found in great cities like New York, Miami or Paris.''

The complex, under construction now, will have 84 suites ranging from 2,100 to 5,400 square feet. Amenities will include a spa and fitness center, valet and concierge services and a wine cellar. The condos will be priced from $720,000 to $4 million.

The Las Vegas Sun reported that Wynn is also investing in the project.
