Steely Dan returns to The Venetian

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Grammy Award-winning jazz rock band Steely Dan has announced that it will return to The Venetian Las Vegas for a nine-night residency inside The Venetian Theater on 24 April through 11 May 2019. Each and every night, Steely Dan will treat audiences with selections from The Dan's extraordinary catalog, packed with infectious tunes, bodacious harmonies, irresistible grooves, blazing solo work, rich ensembles and sleek, subversive lyrics.

Tickets starting at $59.95, plus applicable fees, go on sale to the general public Saturday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets will be available for purchase online, any box office at The Venetian Resort or by calling 702.414.9000 or 866.641.7469. All shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Steely Dan fan club members will have access to a pre-sale beginning Wednesday, 6 February at 10 a.m. PT. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday, 6 February at 12 noon PT. Grazie loyalty members and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will receive access to a pre-sale beginning Thursday, 7 February at 10 a.m. PT. All pre-sales will end Friday, 6 February at 10 p.m. PT.

On all shows, Donald Fagen will be joined once again by the crack group of brilliant and acclaimed musicians who have famously supported him in recent years, including: Jon Herington (guitar), Connor Kennedy (guitar), Keith Carlock (drums), Freddie Washington (bass), Jim Beard (keyboards), a four-piece horn section and three backup vocalists.

Founded in 1972, Steely Dan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and helped define the soundtrack of the '70s with hits such as "Reelin' in the Years," "Rikki Don't Lose That Number," "F.M.," "Peg," "Hey Nineteen," "Deacon Blues," and "Babylon Sisters," from their seven platinum albums issued between 1972 and 1980 – including 1977's sold-out tours (that continue through today). In 2000 they released the multi-Grammy winning (including "Album of the Year") Two Against Nature, and released the acclaimed follow-up Everything Must Go in 2003. Steely Dan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
