Station Casinos Approved to Operate New Nevada Casino8 November 2001LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) -- Nov. 8, 2001 -- Station Casinos, Inc. ("Station" or "the Company") (NYSE: STN) today announced that the Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended that the Company be found suitable to operate Green Valley Ranch Station Casino. The Board's recommendation will be considered by the Nevada Gaming Commission at its meeting on November 19, 2001. Subject to the Commission's approval, the Company anticipates opening Green Valley Ranch Station Casino to the public on December 18, 2001. Green Valley Ranch Station Casino is a 50/50 joint venture between Station and GCR Gaming, LLC, a company owned by the Greenspun family. It is the hub of a 170-acre retail, commercial, office and entertainment project being developed by American Nevada Corporation. The newest member of the Station family of hotel/casinos, Green Valley Ranch Station Casino is located on the I-215 Beltway at Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. The property includes more than 200 hotel rooms; a casino with over 2500 slot and video poker machines, 53 gaming tables; a 171-seat race and sports book; seven restaurants -- including Il Fornaio, Border Grill, Bullshrimp, Trophy's, The Original Pancake House and the Feast Around the World Buffet; a food court, a 10-screen movie theater and an 11,000 square-foot meeting and convention facility. The eight-acre pool area, adjacent to the hotel, features a 10,000 square-foot European spa, a pool cafe, outside special event areas, a vineyard and a swimming pool with a walk-in sand beach and an infinity edge waterfall; all designed by world-renowned architect Michael Czysz. "We thank the Gaming Control Board for its recommendation today and look forward to meeting with the Nevada Gaming Commission later this month," said Glenn C.
