Star City Casino plans outdoor gambling11 January 2008AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the ABC New South Wales: "Sydney's Star City Casino is proposing a $3.9 million redevelopment for outdoor gambling in response to the New South Wales smoking bans. "Star City says its revenue has dropped by up to 10 per cent since the State Government banned smoking in enclosed areas in July last year. "The casino has now applied to the City of Sydney Council to gut an outdoor restaurant and relocate up to 200 gaming machines into the area. "...The application states the conversion would provide an area where patrons can smoke while gaming. "...Star City spokesman Peter Grimshaw says Star City is not the first to offer outdoor gaming facilities for smokers. |
