St. Louis casino report mixed results

MISSOURI -- As reported by the St. Louis Business Journal: "There were mixed results for the six casinos in the St. Louis area in May as most posted declining revenue, but the St. Louis casino market as a whole showed improvements in revenue and admissions, according to figures from the Missouri Gaming Commission and Illinois Gaming Board.

"The St. Louis market had revenue of $93.7 million in May, up 11.8 percent from $83.8 million last May. The casinos reported 2.6 million customers combined in May, up 24 percent from 2.1 last year. However, last year's figures do not include Pinnacle Entertainment's Lumiere Place, which opened Dec. 19..."
