St. Louis-Area Gaming Revenues Mixed

MISSOURI – As reported by the St. Louis Business Journal: "Harrah's St. Louis Casino and Hotel and the Casino Queen in East St. Louis were the only two area casinos that saw an increase in revenue in February, the Missouri Gaming Commission and Illinois Gaming Board reported Thursday.

"Harrah's in Maryland Heights reported revenue of $25.2 million, up 21 percent from $20.1 million in the same month last year.

"…The Casino Queen's revenue increased 1.5 percent to $14.6 million.

"…Argosy Gaming's Alton Belle Casino had essentially flat revenue and admissions in February.

"…Ameristar Casino-St. Charles had flat revenue in February at $24.9 million.

"President Casino on Laclede's Landing brought in $5.8 million in revenue, down from $5.95 million in February 2003…"
