St. Louis Area Casinos Win Up

MISSOURI – As reported by the St. Louis Business Journal: "All five riverboat casinos in the St. Louis metropolitan area had more people on the boats and increased revenue in December, the Missouri Gaming Commission and Illinois Gaming Board said.

"Harrah's St. Louis Casino and Hotel in Maryland Heights, Mo., had the largest increases among the area casinos. The casino boarded 476,157 patrons, up 19 percent from December 2003, and brought in nearly $25.4 million in revenue, up 29 percent from the prior year.

"Argosy Gaming Co.'s (NYSE: AGY) Alton Belle Casino rang up $9.1 million in revenue, up 18 percent from the same month last year, and recorded 111,744 admissions, up 7.6 percent.

"…President Casino on Laclede's Landing boarded 155,664 patrons, up 7 percent, and brought it $6.4 million in revenue, up 4 percent…"
