St. Louis area casino results mixed

ST. LOUIS, Missouri -- As reported by the St. Louis Business Journal: "Revenue at all but one of the St. Louis area's five casinos grew, according to the Missouri Gaming Commission and the Illinois Gaming Board.

"The Casino Queen's revenue inched up less than 1 percent as admission fell nearly 7 percent. For June the casino's revenue grew to $13.89 million from $13.8 million last year.

"...The President Casino's revenue sank 4 percent last month, the only area casino to report a revenue decline. Revenue for June was $5.5 million, compared to $5.8 million in June 2006.

"...Argosy Casino Alton's revenue grew 8 percent to $10.4 million from $9.6 million last year..."
