Spiegelworld sues The Cosmopolitan for sabotaging Vegas Nocturne6 August 2014LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Spiegelworld CSC, LLC ("Spiegelworld"), producer of some of the world's best live entertainment performances, today sued casino operator The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for allegedly sabotaging its critically-acclaimed Vegas Nocturne show, failing to pay agreed upon severance to show employees, and attempting to block the show from moving to a competing venue. The lawsuit, filed in Nevada's Clark County District Court, also accuses The Cosmopolitan of taking show property, including costumes, props and staging, and failing to take action to prevent the misappropriation of show funds which were wrongfully used to pay for a contractor's personal activities, including funding visits to strip clubs. The complaint, filed on August 6, 2014, alleges that The Cosmopolitan's management company, Nevada Property 1, LLC, violated several terms of its agreements with Spiegelworld, including the early termination of its world renowned vaudeville show, Vegas Nocturne at Rose. The Blackstone Group, L.P., which on May 15 announced an agreement to buy The Cosmopolitan, is not a party to the action.
