Sparks City Won't Expand Casino Ban

SPARKS CITY, Nevada – As reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal: "The Sparks City Council refused Monday to expand the ban on neighborhood casinos to any gaming projects.

"The Ad Hoc Committee on Non-Restricted Gaming, charged with reviewing the affects of neighborhood casinos, wanted the council to delay a decision on any proposed gaming project until it issues its recommendation and to include the moratorium on casinos without at least 200 rooms outside downtown to all gaming proposals…"
