South Point Casino to host annual Las Vegas National Horse Show8 November 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- The South Point Arena and Equestrian Center welcomes back The Las Vegas National CSI 3*-W Horse Show, now in its 13th year, Monday, 11 November through Sunday, 17 November at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. The Las Vegas National CSI 3*-W Horse Show will host the AON/USHJA National Championships for the second year. From Olympians and previous Longines FEI Jumping World Cup competitors, guests will watch Olympic-level jumpers and the nation’s top hunters compete for the highest honors. Throughout the week, hunter, equitation and jumper competitions will take place in both the Main Arena and the Priefert Pavilion starting at 7:30 a.m. In addition, free evening classes will be held Monday through Friday. On Saturday, 16 November, some of the most prestigious riders in show jumping both nationally and internationally will compete in the $100,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Las Vegas. Along with prize money at stake, the event is one of 14 legs of the North American League Tour, where riders can earn points toward an invitation to the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Finals that will take place in Las Vegas in 2020. Throughout the evening, spectators are invited to enjoy family fun activities such as a caricature artist, face painting, a photo station, craft stations and shopping. Doors to the event open at 5 p.m. with opening ceremonies kicking off at 7 p.m., which will include a Parade of Nations and a Parade of Champions. Tickets to the $100,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Las Vegas are available online, here for $20 per person with free admission for children under 10 years of age. Ringside lounge and VIP tables are also available. Additionally, the AON/USHJA National Championships will be held throughout the weekend featuring classes in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions for all ages and levels. In addition to the competition, the championships will offer educational opportunities for exhibitors and attendees with industry professionals like Sharon Classen, PT, ATC, CERP, known for having provided both equine and human physical therapy at the World Equestrian Games. Classes will lead an informational session on equine and human sports medicine, other classes will focus on topics like equine vital signs, hoof care, sports psychology, and equestrian judging. |
