South Korea rejects bids in surprise move

SEOUL/HONG KONG -- Reuters is reporting the surprising news that South Korea has rejected both Caesars Entertainment and Lippo consortium, and Universal Entertainment casino licence bids.

Neither company made a statement about the decision, the report explained.

South Korea, along with other Asian countries such as the Philippines, is seeking to build casino resorts following the example of Singapore, Reuters reported.
