South Carolina Businessmen Seek to Operate Casino Boats

GEORGETOWN, South Carolina – As reported by the Associated Press: "Two casino boat operators want to operate in Georgetown County, now that a judge has ruled the county's ban is unconstitutional.

"…Greenville businessman Fred Collins owns a 358-foot gambling boat. He's written Georgetown County officials saying he wants to operate in the county.

"Greenville businessman Wallace Cheves filed the suit that resulted in Gregory's ruling. Cheves said he wants to operate his 300-passenger boat from Murrells Inlet next month…"
