South Australian Note Acceptor Investigated

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "The South Australian Independent Gambling Authority (IGA) is being asked to investigate how the Adelaide Casino is able to use a note acceptor on its roulette wheel.

"The devices which accepts notes rather than coins are illegal for poker machines in SA.

"But 'No Pokies' MP Nick Xenophon claims the casino is exploiting a legal loophole by using note acceptors for its Rapid Roulette game.

"…'They're banned by legislation on poker machines and the Adelaide Casino by the very least is pushing the envelope in terms of corporate responsibility.'

"…Mr Xenophon has called on authorities to explain how the machine was approved for use…"
