South African Couple Robbed

SOUTH AFRICA – As reported by the South Africa Daily News: "A Durban couple's good fortune at a local casino turned into a nightmare yesterday when they were robbed at gunpoint by three armed men outside their beachfront flat.

"The couple, whose name is known to the Daily News but who wish to remain anonymous because they fear for their safety, were robbed of R74 000 (US$10,739) which they won in a late night gambling spree at the Suncoast Casino.

"…'At about 2.40am we decided to call it a day and return to our beachfront flat, which is a few blocks from the casino .

"…'While I was parking the car, two of the men ran up to the vehicle, pointed guns at our heads and demanded we hand over the money and keys to the car

"…The robbers fled in the couple's black BMW, taking the R74 000 in cash and cellphones…"
