South African Casino Expected to Boost Economy

SOUTH AFRICA – As reported by the SABC News: "The construction of a multi-million rand casino resort in Klerksdorp in the North West is expected to boost the local economy by creating job opportunities.

"The construction of the Tusk Rio Hotel Resort comes at a time when some of the country's biggest mining houses have been retrenching workers at their operations in the Kosh area.

"…[The] construction of the new hotel, at a cost of more than a R100 million will create more than 4 000 jobs.

"…The construction will be undertaken in two phases. The first phase will be the casino, which is expected to be in operation by October…"
